Welcome to the 2012 Season!!!

The Rollingwood Board is happy to announce that Meg Bowes and Gail Malone will be returning as our pool and snack bar managers respectively.  Meg and Gail along with their staff are excited about a great season and look forward to seeing you at Rollingwood soon!  The Board, and especially the Pools and Grounds staff, has been very busy in the off season.  Here are some of the improvements you will notice when you come to the pool:

• The office has been modified to add a large window and counter overlooking the pool, providing the office staff a greater awareness of activity on the pool deck and with some reconfiguration has provided more open interior room for day to day operations. 

• New concrete has been poured around the pool apron to replace broken and uneven blocks.

• The roof on the upper pavilion has been replaced. 

• A new shed has been built, greatly increasing our storage space and access to our equipment. 

• New lights have been installed by the shuffle ball court.  

The Activities folks have also been very busy planning kid, family, and adult events including some special festivities for opening day weekend.  Please check out the 2012 activities calendar. 

Also new this season... the Board has installed an internet connection to ease communications, allow the staff to access information such as weather, and to provide the ability for the staff to issue real time notifications related to unexpected pool closings and announcements via the Rollingwood electronic mailing list.  A wireless service is included in the internet installation, which the Board will be rolling out to the membership (the link password will be changed routinely and will be available from the office).   

The Board is continuing to pursue the ability to serve hot food in the snack bar and hopes that this offering will be available prior to the end of the season.

We welcome all of our new and returning members and hope that you come to the pool often during the season and enjoy the summer!

Gate Entry Pictures May 19, 10:30am - 1:30pm & May 28, 10:30am - 12:30pm

If you need a picture for your gate entry ID card, please try to attend one of the gate entry photo sessions: May 19 from 10:30am to 1:30pm or May 28 from 10:30am to 12:30pm.  Pictures will be taken in the Rollingwood Pavilion.

Opening Weekend Festivities

Rollingwood is starting the season off with a big splash!!!  Please try to join us opening weekend for some of the following festivities:

• Saturday May 26th - We're not clowning around... or maybe we are.  Come get your face painted or maybe a balloon figure from Noon to 4:00pm

• Sunday May 27th - Hot Dog!!! Come get your free hot dog and a bag of chips from 1:00pm to 3:00pm or while supplies last.

• Monday May 28th - Winner winner... you know the rest.  Come to the pool and receive a raffle ticket for door prizes.  Drawings starting at 11:45am until 5:45pm.  Grand prize drawing at 5:45pm.

Rollingwood Email Notification System

Rollingwood is pleased to announce the launch of it's email notification system. The management and board will utilize this system to notify members of special announcements, pool closings, activities, and other information throughout the year. This is a self subscribe system and each member wanting to be notified must self-subscribe. Members are responsible for keeping their email addresses current.
