Pool
Rules
These
rules have been compiled to benefit and protect all users of the pool
facilities. Only through the cooperation of each member can full enjoyment of
the pool facilities be realized by all of our members.
Any failure to comply
with these rules may result in SUSPENSION of pool privileges.
PARENTS ARE REQUESTED TO CAUTION THEIR CHILDREN TO OBSERVE THE RULES AND
TO OBEY THE INSTRUCTION OF THE LIFE GUARDS AND POOL MANAGER.

Non-swimmers
must stay in the shallow water for their own safety.

Any child under
12, unless a qualified swimmer*, must be accompanied by a responsible
individual.

Only children
under 8 and accompanied by an adult may use the wading pool.

Running and
rough play in and out of the water is strictly prohibited.

Glass containers
in or around the pool property is prohibited.

Alcoholic
beverages on or about the pool property is prohibited with the exception of
adult events designated by the Chairman of the Activities Committee and
approved by the Board of Directors.

The use of personal
flotation devices may, at the discretion of management, be utilized in the
main pool. An adult must be with the child, in the water, at arm's length.

According to the
Maryland Health Rules, all bathers must take a shower before entering or
re-entering the pool.

No food is
allowed in the pool or on the immediate edge thereof.

The playing of
water polo or other types of games engaged in by several persons with the
active use of a ball or other object in the pool is prohibited, unless
approved by the Manager on duty.

Diving from the
edge and swimming in the deep water area known as the diving well is
prohibited unless approved by the Manager on duty.

Children must be
100% toilet trained to enter the big pool.

No skateboards,
roller blades/skates, bicycles, or other wheeled recreational vehicles are
allowed on the pool grounds.

People using the
sliding board should not start up the ladder until the previous user is in
the water.

People using the
diving board should not start up the ladder until the previous user has
reached the pool ladder at the end of the diving well.

Only appropriate
swimming attire (i.e. bathing suits) will be allowed in the pool.

Rude behavior,
including offensive language, is prohibited.
*
A qualified swimmer is a child, between the ages of 10 and 12, who can pass a
pool test, which will be given by the Pool Manager with the permission of a
parent. If you are interested in having your child take the swimming test,
please contact the Pool Manager.
